Craft & Hobby Exchange

We need a name for our Craft Group seeing as how we are growing.

Maybe you could give us a second or two on thinking up a name for our Craft Group or should we just leave it generic?

It is just about Halloween time and if you are scratching your head for some ideas or would like to make a costume for a little one in your family, check out this site for ideas and instructions      http://www.allcrafts.net/kidshalloweencostumes.htm

Christmas is just around the corner, so we should be thinking about that as well, if you haven't all ready.

I make cookies and use them as stocking stuffers, from my home to your home and for
the unexpected.  I save my "Nestles" ice cream containers from over the year.   I like the Nestles ice cream containers as the covers are quite tight and keeps the cookies fresh.  In June, I start painting these containers with simple Xmas Scenes.  Holly and Bells.  Evergreens and Snow.  I use a lot of gold for accentuating this or that.  I use the craft shop paint I find at Walmart or the hobby shops - it is an acrylic paint and it covers the ice cream containers quite well.  Then I put my Xmas Motif in the middle on both sides.

I used to make peanut butter cookies too, but they have gone by the by due to our current allergy thing.  Now I make up shortbread (my recipe), nanimo bars and hermits (without the nuts).  Leaving nuts out of my recipes drives me up the wall, but better that then driving someone else up the wall with an allergic reaction.

What are you doing for your Christmas projects?

How about Krafy Kreations.
I feel fiends appreciate a hand made gift and I feel in the modern world people tend fail to be creative.

Thanks for sharing everyone. What is "Crafts for all Occasions" Samecalkitty? Is the The Craft Exchange, Sean, a local fair or on the Internet?

I think you are right Sue but the "ghouls" have changed much of that. I used to make popcorn balls and the kids came quite a distance to get them, now I do not, as everything homemade to eat is treated with suspicion. However, home parties work.

my apologies I had to rush out, didn't have time to put an explanation, I thought that as we would be exchanging craft ideas, methods and the like it sounded a good name for the group,

I like the idea of turning it into a website on the net though mmm

Oh, we can do that if you want. It is all set up, but actually hadn't meant to do that but it could be. Look at oldniche Dot com.

Actually I think that would rather handy for you. You could put a listing on there if you wish. Compliments of myself.

"Crafts for all occasions" means just as it says, The hand made crafts are great for all occasions for customers to buy for their self or to give a gift for any occasion. Hope this helps.
