I have always wanted to learn how to make a quilt.  I took a class on it and I made a beautiful quilt. I took an art class and painted a nice picture.  This class show you how you can actually paint a picture without knowing anything about it.  I never had any art classes before, but they show you how to do it.   I love to crochet and do variety of craft items.  But as a Networker I don't have to much time.

Time - I made a 26 hour day, just so I can include what I want to do. I am in the middle of my third knitted blanket which is about 2/3 done. I haven't touched it for over a year. It is an on and off project.

I have always had a passion for quilting too. I started saving patterns for quilts when I was in my late twenties against the time when I was retired and could focus on it and not have kids messing with the pieces. You know how children are.

My husband was a professional artist so I never thought about doing any art work myself as it would not have been to his standards.

I don't seem to be very creative. I mean starting with a blank page and going for it. I need someone else to do that. I am an artisan rather. If someone else has done it, then I can do it too and have. Sometimes I will put my own spin to whatever it is but generally I am quite happy just to start and finish a project.

Crochet is my second choice to knitting but not doilies. My Mom did that. Rather I crochet for clothes and some of them turned out quite well. It is gratifying.

It seems like we have a lot in common. I am not very creative my nature, but I love to learn how to do arts. I didn't know how to paint, so I took one class on oil painting. It turn out so good. My sister taught Art classes. I didn't know how to crochet so I taught myself. I think crochet is easier for me. I have knitting, but I don't like counting stitches. I have always wanted to learn how to make dollies.

I haven't had much time lately to work on my crocheting. I also like to work with plastic canvas.
