I am starting, what I hope will be, an ongoing list that I can get others to make additions.

I believe that a strong team makes success more likely. Whether building a "brick & mortar" business or marketing online, a good team makes life easier, increases the chance of success, creates a larger "idea" pool and spreads out the 'risk'.
Network - You need to interact with as many people as possible. Tell them about what your are involved with and invite them to join or simply offer information. Never get pushy or over-bearing, that is a turn off to most people."What's in it for me?" - Be very clear about what some one can gain or achieve by getting involved. People are much more motivated when they can personally be enriched in some way.
