I don't want to win the lottery after all

Winning the lottery seems to be a common dream among millions of people.  But in Texas winning the lottery has turned into an identity theft risk.  An ex-lottery employee breached security by downloading information to a personal hard drive and carrying that information with him to his new job.

Winners who won prizes of $600 and up are required to apply to the lottery comminssion to recieve their winnings (That's because everyone's favorite "uncle" is looking to get his share of your good fortune at that point).  The lottery commission collects you information for tax purposes and then pays you your winnings.  In this case the information collected fell into the wrong hands.  There is no indication at this point that the information has been used wrongly but the commission is still telling people to take steps to protect themselves.

Considering the possible headache this could result in I don't think I want to win the Lottery anymore.
