GREEN PIRATE (Wolverhampton, 2.15) is no superstar but it will be hugely disappointing if he fails to win on Friday.
The six-year-old has had a frustrating time of it, ending up winless in 2007 despite a busy campaign. However, he rarely ran a bad race all year and the handicapper has not been kind as a result. He finds himself marooned on a mark of 60, so it's into selling company in a an attempt to stop the rot. The Bahamian Bounty gelding is in great shape and, importantly, comes out nicely on top courtesy of the speed figures. He's fancied to win this poor race.

PEGASUS DANCER (Wolverhampton, 3.25) is at home in these lowly affairs and has the pace to win a poorly supported claimer. The Danehill Dancer gelding is another that always runs his heart out and he can see off his three rivals, who have plenty of question marks hanging over them.

SANDS CROONER (Kempton, 8.20) is in fantastic form and scored in an excellent time at Lingfield a few days ago. Tonight's race looks the perfect opportunity for him to keep up the run and he can fend off the expected challenge from Fromsong.
