Yesterday's review:
Simply not good enough, that's the best way to describe both me and the horses! TOYLSOME ran a sound race in 3rd but he could not concede his Group 1 winning penalty. RIO DE LA PLATA ran no race in 4th but I wouldn't blame the ground, I think it would have more to do with the race coming too soon and I still maintain he will be a force next season. Everton lost to Liverpool, England lost the rugby, so why not have INCHNADAMPH finish 5th in the Cesarewitch to really round off a horrible day!

Selection: HOO LA BALOO 10 Points Win
This is a terrific race for the time of year and I don't deny that despite there being only seven runners, it would be easy to argue a case for most of them! Last years winner CROSSBOW CREEK loves it around here, LENNON looked like going all the way to the top after cruising to victory in his first three Chases as a novice last season and LORD HENRY Showed he can be a top quality Chaser in his own right when he slaughtered Royal Shakespeare at Ascot back in March. However, the horse which stands out to me by a country mile is HOO LA BALOO. His role of honour is far too varied to cover in detail and the drop back from 25f to 16f may come as a big surprise to many punters. I think he is just a very classy animal on his day and with the very capable Nick Schofield claiming 7lb, the horse will think it's Christmas carrying just 10st 9lb on his back. Narrow defeats by the likes of Voy Por Ustedes and Racing Demon over the minimum trip gives him an outstanding chance at these weights and he also has the advantage of having a race under his belt for the season. Right handed tracks seem to suit him best and I fully intend to replenish the shed loads of money I have lost in recent days. For the forecast, I can see the only real danger coming from LENNON and a reverse forecast may pay some dividend depending upon their prices.
