Following on from Setting up the Basics and your Home page I will take the items in the order they are listed from left to right at the top of each page in your "Business Center Setup" area.

"SlideShow"

First you need to prepare your images.
Your images must be on your PC and they need to be in Jpg (jpeg) format and 250 pixels wide by 200 pixels high.

I looked for a free quality program that anyone can use and found this one which took me just 15 minutes to figure out and produce some very good quality enlargements / reductions and conversions from gif to jpg.

Dependant on your user level You can upload 3, 5, or 10 images.

Once you have prepared your images Click on "Add Slideshow"

You will now see 3 boxes.

"Photo Title"
In this Box enter a description of what the image is about.
example "get more traffic by using xyz."

"Destination URL"
This already has the http:// filled in so make sure that if you copy and paste the URL (which I always recommend to avoid typing errors) that you do not end up with two lots of http://. Personally I remove what is there and then paste my URL in to avoid making this error.

"Select Photo"
to the right of this box you see a button marked "Browse".
When you click on the "Browse" button it will open up a window on your PC so that you can find and select the image you want to upload. when you have selected it click on open and the window will close and the location will appear in the "Select Photo" box.

Recheck that you have all the information entered correctly and then click on the "Upload it" Button.

You can repeat this operation for each image you want to upload.

Note
If you want to change an image you need to delete the one you want to change and then go through the upload steps above again as there is no edit option.

Once you have the maximum number of images that your membership level permits then the "Add Photo" option no longer shows.

To see how your "Slideshow" looks open your "Business Center" at the home page and you will see the images rotating.

If you are not satisfied with an image then you can delete it and redo it as described above.

"Tips:"
If you do not want part of your image hidden behind the "Slideshow" numbers at the bottom of the "Slideshow" window.
Make your image 185 pixels high, then add a 15 pixel high white band at the bottom of your image.

Also if you are for example enlarging say a 125 x 125 image only enlarge it to 185 x 185.
(if reducing then reduce to 185 high)

Next add a 33 pixel border on the left and a 32 pixel border on the right and a 15 pixel border at the bottom.
The one pixel difference in the Left and Right borders will not be noticeable.
This will place your image central on the horizontal and ensure it will not be partly hidden at the bottom.

You can see this effect if you look at the slide show on my "Business Center".

Hi Ariela,

I have no objection to copying for personal use.

What I do not want is it being copied and reposted.
This is to keep it as unique content for the search engines.

A belated thanks for the info. And also for the resizer. It is a neat little programme and very straightforward to use.

Hi jenny,

Its one of the easiest I have ever found.

One person who had never seen it before did the download, install, and edit their 3 slide show images and upload them into the slideshow in about 10 minutes.

Your articles and blogs are so useful and informative for new users. Whenever I have a question I can count on your content for the answers! Thanks a million for all the useful information. I just hope mine will get up to par when I begin writing some. I did write an about me blog if you would like to see how it turned out.
