  • We Continue to Object in The Big Dogs’ Priority Push to Connecting New Users [Video], with Little to No Regard for Internet Safety of Our Children and These New Users
  • Apathy and Indifference to Internet Crime Continue to Kill Our Children.

Let Us Face It

  • The Use of The Internet to Commit a Crime or Illegal Activity Continues To Grow as They Rapidly Spread Through The Use, Power, And Influence Of Social Media
  • Apathy and Indifference to Internet Crime Continue to Kill Our Children.
  • The scope and range of Internet Crime aka Cyber Crime or computer crime are so vast that most users have turned a deaf ear to hearing more until they become a victim.
  • For that matter, much of it is disgusting, repulsive, even sickening when it comes to topics related to children such as Child abuse, Child porn, Predators, Sexting, and Trafficking.
  • These topics along with others such as Cyber bullying, Harassment, Addiction, and Teenage Suicides are often blocked by many browsers, parental controls, WOT and such.
  • Campaigns such as STOP Clicking Links [Video] are ignored until some form of malware bites the user. Once bitten, users will seldom admit their mistake to others

Time to Refocus and Check our Priorities

  • At the very time when our children need us the most, parents seem to have abdicated their parental roles to the smartphone, other mobile devices, and the internet.
  • Families have disengaged in conversation and learning as a family unit while individual members play with their smartphones and devices and thus:
  • Children as young as five years old have “Unsupervised Access” to the Dangers of the Internet
  • Children as young as nine years old are watching porn and sexting.
  • Self-Harm and Teen Suicides are increasing
  • Too Much of Internet Crime is targeted toward to our Children and Family
  • Few understand that Internet Safety and Security is Everyone's Responsibility
  • Social media is our best resource, and Your Caring and Sharing will help spread our message
  • CaringIt is easy to understand that if I post a picture of my wife and daughter, flowers, or pets that everyone that sees that post will jump at the chance to, like, love, and share with their friends who in turn re-share the post.
  • Still, others who thrive on someone else's misery or abuse will quickly share the post which often sends the post or video viral.
  • The use of videos will make our subject matter more interesting, informative and result in greater sharing of topics relevant to us all.
  • My first attempt to make a video resulted in a video that was more boring than just reading my post.
  • Even this post had checked and rewritten a dozen times. So, we try again in a Story format.
  • You will see why we focus on the needs of our children, teens, and family as a story unfolds
  • Hopefully, the sharing of my life experiences will be of help to another

Our story begins

  • Just the other day I happened to glance at the packaging of my cigarettes.
  • Yes, I smoke starting again after 20 years when doing business in China
  • My Chinese clients extended one hand to shake, while the other offered a cigarette.
  • Depending on where the cigarettes are manufactured, the packages contain pictures of various cancers, other deformities and disabilities.
  • I thought to myself; how interesting.  I doubt any smokers even think about the pictures as they take their next cigarette without a care.
  • Internet crime is much like that apathy.
  • Few care about the subject enough to share with others. It doesn’t catch your attention.
  • Socially I am often asked “What do You Do.?
  • I am semi-retired, but work seven days a week reporting Internet Crime on my blog.
  • Through this blog, I try to increase awareness and educate others about Internet Crime and how it affects us all.
  • However, when I ask for help; be it likes, shares, sponsorship, or donations, I am met with resistance and responses such as Why Internet Crime?
  • Why do you do this? It does not pay, and It seems like a waste of time?
  • These comments are usually followed by additional responses;
  • It is not my problem, not my thing, what is in it for me, and Sorry, but I have other priorities.
  • It is too bad that we seem to live in a me-first world where the perception of doing something for free must have no value!

78th Birthday

  • As my birthday approached, I starting asking myself the same questions, Why do I do this?
  • While my initial thrust online was financial crimes, I took a full bite of the enchilada I call Internet Crime or Cyber Crime starting this blog in September 2013
  • My wife and I have been supporting this initiative out of pocket since 2004.
  • As of this posting, we have managed to receive only 385 likes and our total receipts for donations over the past 3.5 years is $5.00.
  • My attempts to raise funds through sponsors, advertising, and donations all fall short when they examine our traffic numbers and ranking online
  • So we need your help to improve our standing and to attract sponsors
  • Additionally, I need to attract someone to help share the passion and carry on our work.

Why Internet Crime?

  • I have been following financial scams since January 1, 1981, when I started my first mortgage and financial company in La Jolla, California
  • It was quiet back then since US Prime Rate had just climbed to 21.50% December 19, 1980.
  • However, the scammers managed to show up on my doorstep to offer a variety of schemes for my clients to help hedge against the extraordinary high-interest rates.
  • I learned a great deal about such scams and managed to build a reputation for helping my clients understand and avoid them.
  • Upon resigning as Broker, President, CEO from my small group of companies and 12-16 hour days in 2004
  • I found that most of the offline scams that I was familiar with were also to be found online.
  • Online, scammers could spread their message more quickly
  • and reach more potential victims through email blasts and the new rapidly expanding social networks.
  • Online I learned that anything and all things could be fake;
  • Fake social profiles, payment proofs, testimonials, impostors, and even impostor websites.
  • The hype and claims found online are preposterous, unbelievable yet they continue as so many new users turned to the internet to make money.
  • A favorite scam of mine wanted to pay me $20,000 just to read an email - Paid to Read and Paid to Click Scams
  • These programs made no business sense all, so I investigated further.
  • Investing nearly $100,000, I joined many PTR/PTC programs and a variety other scams just to learn how they worked from the inside and out
  • In 9 months, I managed to grow my PTR/PTC research into $1,000,000 per day earnings.
  • Of course, you cannot take earnings to the bank, and no payments were ever received
  • No payments were ever received
  • Lessons learned include; disregard the hype and start with something you already understand to reduce your risk to potential scams
  • Do not believe everything you read online, do your due diligence, and invest only what you can afford to lose.
  • In 2009, after nearly five years of research, I published my findings in my Internet Users Handbook
  • I started several blogs and social networking groups and used their input for later revisions and the second edition of the handbook.
  • The scope of our content continued to increase as we round out the risks to us, our children and business online.

The Beginning of Life

  • I was born in early 1939, pre-war, in Boston Massachusetts,
  • My mother was from a wealthy family in Connecticut.
  • She was not married, and some years later I learned that my unknown father was a preacher's son.
  • Grandmother shielded the family name from the shame and used the power of money to influenced the hospital to tell my mother that I was DOA
  • Mother and grandmother return to Connecticut.
  • I met my mother for the first time in 1981; some 42 Years after birth.
  • Imagine her shock to find out that her DOA baby was alive and had a PhD.
  • She was married with two children; a half brother and sister
  • My mother had bone cancer and the children seemed more concerned that I was there to claim my share of the family inheritance.
  • The bother and sister enjoyed the good life; much better than mine as my story continues
  • Mother died less than a year later from bone cancer

Moving On

  • I remained behind as a ward of the state
  • Massachusetts as you will read failed to properly supervise and ensure my safety, perhaps in part due to the impending war.
  • I was born with cerebral palsy which made my right leg turn inward towards the left
  • Although I was put up for adoption, I had no takers as most were seeking a healthy baby
  • I remained in a children's home care ward under study, testing, learning to walk until about 2-3 years of age
  • From there I was put into the Massachusetts Foster Care System where my abuse started.
  • A system where unsupervised parents could receive a child into their home to care for in return for a small monthly fee.

My First Foster Home

  • In my case, I lived in the attic where I played with spiders and flies.
  • I attracted a lot of flies since I do not remember bathing.
  • I used to pull off one of their wings and watch them go in circles.
  • I never ate with the family and did my toilet business outside the home under the stairs
  • In the heat of the Summer and the bitter cold of the Massachusetts Winters
  • Some two years later I was removed from that home by the State
  • I was near death due to extreme malnutrition and so bloated that it permanently deformed my ribs.
  • I looked like those “Care” campaign posters of foreign skeletal boys
  • Except, this happened here in the United States, under Massachusetts care
  • These were my child neglect years

My Second Foster Home

  • I entered my second foster home at about age five and lived in a large room with two other boys.
  • Due to my malnutrition, I had not developed a natural resistance to disease.
  • So, I suffered most of popular and some unpopular diseases as the lady or mother nourished me back to life.
  • However, I was so sickly and ugly that my recovery took a couple of years that I was not able to enter school until age 8
  • Shortly after arriving in the home a man also joined us in the room.
  • I understood that he had been sent home from the war.
  • It didn't take long for him to fondling, force himself on me and rape me.
  • I was too weak to stop his advances and too scared to say anything.
  • I was his toy for all forms of sex. But
  • I wasn’t his only victim as there was a girl in another room that also endured his visits.
  • As we grew up, she and I never talked about him.

School and Work

  • I started both school and working at age 8.
  • The other children bullied me for my skeletal looks, deformed ribs, and the problem with my leg.
  • However, since I worked. The moe I worked the stronger I became
  • I soon made friends since I brought “Devil Dogs” to school. I wonder if they still make them.
  • As I got stronger and stronger, the school bullying stopped after a major fight as I managed to beat the top bully as friends watched.
  • Child abuse takes many forms from neglect, sexual, physical to mental, emotional.
  • The lady of the foster home learned that I had a “Catholic Girl Friend”, a non-Protestant friend.
  • The lady was a Southern Baptist; no dancing, no touching or proximity with non-Baptist believers
  • I walked out of school at age 16 after a dispute with my teacher over who was talking in class
  • I went to work full time, baling pager, making women's shoes and kosher frozen chickens
  • I love my kosher chicken story, but maybe another time
  • After 4 or 5 foster homes, several business I started, and my other jobs,
  • Massachusetts signed approval for me to enter the USN at age 17
  • I received my GED and did my College Studies nights and weekends
  • With my educational effort I was able to rise in rank to a US Naval Officer, later resigning after 17 years.

So, there you have it

  • A part of my life story in short form and why children receive our priority
  • I have been there and done that even before the “I got the T-Shirt” craze
  • I am a victim and a survivor, and hopefully, my success and sharing will help another.

This Job is Too Big For Me

  • There is Only One of Me so I Need Your Help
  • Remember only your closest friends tell you everything
  • Others that need your help may never ask
  • However; you can help them by sharing our message so that they can use the information in the privacy of their home
  • Why not start today, let us put others first in our life
