Introduction & Description

Adobe Digital Publishing Suite, as well as DPS for short, is a set of tools and services for producing and distributing content for mobile devices for example the iPad. One Edition vs. multifolio apps

There are two types of digital camera publishing suite apps. The single edition, and multi-folio. Let's examine the differences. First we'll look at single edition. That they do permit in-app purchases and subscriptions, but they do have to have a subscription to professional or enterprise services through Adobe. Installing DPS tools

The Adobe Digital Publishing Suite can be purchased for InDesign CS6 and later. To install the full list of tools, run the DPS Desktop Tools installer by choosing Support > Updates in InDesign.

Note:

With the v32 release in September 2014, DPS don't supports InDesign CS5 and InDesign CS5. 5. InDesign CS6 or later is essential.

Installing the DPS Desktop Tools

In InDesign, decide on Help > Updates, and update DPS Desktop Tools.

The DPS Computer's desktop Tools installer installs the Folio Overlays panel, the Folio Designer panel, a required InDesign plugin, DPS App Builder, and your Desktop Viewer.

Note:

Whenever a new version is released, usually it takes a few days for the newest installer to be in the InDesign Updates installer. During this period, you can update the DPS Desktop Tools by downloading and running essentially the most current installer using the above links.

Installing the Adobe Content Viewer with a mobile device

Common installation issues

Adobe Content Viewer to the Desktop not installed properly

In some instances, updating the DPS Desktop Tools ceases to install the Adobe Content Viewer for the Desktop (otherwise known as the "Desktop Viewer"). The workaround is to install the Adobe Content Viewer to the Desktop manually. To do this, double-click the AdobeContentViewer. air report:

Note that the location can vary slightly if you are generally on 64-bit version of Windows.

"Please update your app" miscalculation message

When customers attempt to download new folios in your current branded viewer app, the following message appears: "Please update your current app. This issue is available for download, but requires a more recent version of the app. "

If customers are getting this specific error, the viewer version of the folio is higher that viewer version in the app. To fix this problem, either publish the folio utilising an older viewer version that is compatible with your app, or submit a whole new version of your app to the store.

"This version involving DPS App Builder has expired" error message

This message appears when you find yourself trying to use an older version of DPS App Builder every time a newer version is available. The solution is to install a whole new version of DPS App Builder.

However, in some instances, this message is constantly on the appear after you've re-installed DPS App Builder. First, make sure you are using Mac OSX 10. 7 or later; Mac OSX 10. 6. 8 isn't longer supported. Also, make sure that you clean the cache as part of your web browser before downloading the newest version of DPS Software Builder. In some instances, the browser cache leads to an old version of the installer to be downloaded.

"You do don’t you have a compatible Digital Publishing Plug-in" error message

After updating your current Folio Producer tools, this error message tells you to acquire the Folio Producer tools, but you have the most latest Folio Producer tools and panel. Uninstalling the digital camera publishing tools
