New Year is a good time for New Ideas
I have bounced from one side of this question to the other for MANY years and found pros and cons on both of them, but with the New Year being a fresh time to evaluate old practices, I have decided to bounce again!
The question I am considering is, "Should I Use An Autoresponder, or Not?" and my feeling today is NOT. I even get mine free by having enough referrals, but it's going on the back burner and eventually going into the dumpster once again.
The latest development that contributed to this decision, is most A/R systems are not getting through to your prospects inbox because their email provider sees it is coming from a different source (the A/R System) instead of actually from YOU.
Add to that, most people only stay active on any list for a very short time, if they even remember that they signed up in the first place. Then there is MY problem of not remembering to keep in touch enough to keep our relationship alive.
SO, my new approach is to go for the kill right away!
Just kidding (sort of), but if I do a good enough job of presenting what I want to get my prospect to take action on, it's plain old B.S. that it has to take 5 to 7 exposures to get them to decide.
Hey I could be stepping off a 100 foot cliff, but my experience tells me it will be an exhilarating ride as the adrenalin kicks in and my crazy idea bears the fruit I think it will. (in fact it already has).
I would welcome your feedback!
