UPSC is all set to conduct the CDS (Combined Defence Services) Exam 1 in February 2015. The online application process has already started for the CDS 1 exam 2014 from November 8, 2014. Candidates, who wish to join one of Indian defence academy and are eligible for CDS exam, can apply now for the exam. The eligibility criteria and other details are mentioned below

• Date Of Notification: 8th November 2014
• Last Date of receipt of Application:  5th December 2014
• Date of Written examination: 15th February 2015

CDS exam is conducted twice a year for recruitment of graduates to Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Navy Academy and Air Force Academy. The exam is usually conducted in February and October months.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Indian Military Academy and the Officers Training Academy - Degree from a recognized university. Age between 19 to 24 years
2. Naval Academy - Graduation in Science with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Age between 19 to 22 years
3. Air Force Academy - Graduation in Science with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Age between 19 to 23 years

How to apply?

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online on the official website upsconline.nic.in before the last date. The application process will be conducted in two parts, part-I and part-II. Candidates, who successfully complete the part-I registration, will be eligible for part-II registration. Application fee will also be submitted online.

Application fee: Rs. 200 for Gen and OBC candidates. No application fee for remaining candidates
