The first step to install motorcycle bags is to remove the seats. Most motorcycle seats can be unscrewed at the rear of a seat with a Phillips screwdriver. Now carefully slide the seat forward while lifting and detach the keyhole bracket from its attached seat post. Next you have to slide the seat from the rear in order to detach the seat tongue. This is located near the rear tank bracket.

Get out your motorcycle bags and un lace the yoke. This is the part of the motorbike bag which fits under your seat. After positioning the bags just right overlap the yokes over each side. If there is any hardware in your way just mark it off with a sharpie for now. It's essential that you lay the motorcycle bags flat and place the yoke over a piece of wood or telephone book. A flat surface is necessary for the yoke not to get tangled and to also keep your motorcycle bags in good coordination.

Line up the yokes with the preferred destination and hold them in that spot. Once you have the motorbike bags fitted perfectly to your satisfaction, try and reinstall the seat. When you have reinstalled the seat be sure to secure the bags with lower tie downs. Installing motorcycle bags couldn't get any easier.

A final safety check is a must when adding any new accessories to your bike. The highest priority check is to make sure that your saddle bags are lined up with all of the bikes hardware (spokes, wheels, belts and chains). An option if you want to skip the whole installation process is to check out a "throw-over" bag. This is a motorcycle bad that goes directly over your bike with no necessary modifications. Within one hour you could be riding to the grocery store and creating some high uses of your newly installed motorcycle bag.
