Do you go that Extra mile?

As some of you know I own a tourism related business in the South of Spain, although I do have several expat clients as well as holiday makers.

Yesterday I returned to one of these expat clients, an elderly lady whose husband was recovering from a stroke. I had hired her a mobility walker for her husband to try out and get him out of the house. On my initial visit I had sat down with them for a coffee and explained various things to them. As she did not drive I dropped her off at the next town so she could do her weekly shopping.

Three weeks passed and she informed me that they would need to buy a 'walkman' as her husband called the mobility walker. I did not have any for sale, but did tell her where to go and what to do etc.

So yesterday I went back to pick my one up. Again I sat down and had a coffee and a chat with them. She had been to Gibraltar to collect her pension and brought me back a huge tin of chocolates for all my efforts. The husband called me a lifesaver and then gave me a 20 euro tip for going that extra mile. After much chatting and another coffee I left them to make their lunch and it got me thinking.

I was only doing what comes naturally, they said it went beyond what I needed to do.

But did it? I don't think so. What goes around comes around my mother always told me.

So whatever business you are involved in, you should go that extra mile without even thinking about it. It should be routine in my opinion, so much so you do it without even thinking about it.

If you are an affiliate marketer make sure you are the best possible sponsor you can be. Give your advice freely and always answer people, and make the effort to stay in touch.

It is the little things that matter.

As always warm wishes from Spain,
