What every website owner or a blogger needs most is visitors to the site. The lingo for this number of visitors is “Traffic.” One simple method of attracting this traffic to your site is through a medium called “Traffic Exchange.” To tackle first things first, we should ask and know what exactly a traffic exchange is. And do they waste time or are rather useful tools to be employed in the search for traffic. So, What is a traffic exchange?
A traffic exchange, by a simple definition, is a membership site. There, all members view other members’ sites. This process is known as “Surfing.” You, a member, do this in order to earn credit which is equal to one random member to visit your page for a specified period of time, usually 10 – 15 seconds. Most exchanges have upgrade options which enable you to earn more credits and a higher commission rate as well.
You are allowed to refer others to these traffic exchanges, and your reward is a portion of their credits which they earn while surfing. You may also be rewarded further with commissions if your referrals also upgrade or buy advertising on the site.
Rules For Efficient Use Of Traffic Exchanges:
When you use Traffic Exchanges, you must ask yourself, How can I get more traffic with less surfing and How can I turn that traffic into cash. Follow these steps.
- · Terms of Service
Though there are Terms of Service which apply to all traffic exchanges, each one further has its own terms of service. It is imperative that you review these terms and understand the rules before posting your ads and operating that exchange.
- · What Do You Promote?
To be able to derive maximum benefit from your ads, promote only splash pages mostly and not sales pages because surfers are in the business to earn credits and do it within the shortest time possible. They will not squander that time reading long pages. A splash page fits the bill here because it is a fast loading page that does not need any scrolling. It only requires the visitors to input just their names and email addresses to acquire more information or receive a Report. In the process, you build an email list and later promote your products and services to this person via what is known as email marketing.
So, it can be said, therefore, that a Traffic Exchange can be a great resource for traffic and the building of your ”List,” which is an important Tool in your online activities. But, like all Tools, you must take the great first step in learning just how to use Traffic Exchanges correctly in order to take your marketing to the next level.
