Family Reunions

Family reunions play an important part in my life. On my mother's side of our family we have a reunion every other year. This is the "other year" and we are all heading out to see family members we have not seen since the last reunion. We have fellowship nights, a picnic and a banquet.

For some of us, this is the only time we get to see each other. I'm looking forward to my reunion in Maryland this year. We had planned a tour of the White House, but because of the idiots in congress the sequester came along and all White House tours have been canceled. Bummer!!!!

But we have enough activities planned to please everyone. We have a game night as a part of the entertainment; and there is always shopping to be done.

It sure beats coming together to bury someone. Family reunions truly are a
"celebration of life."
