This is the number one reason why anyone should be blogging. It's absolutely free to blog unless you are using some sort of service that requires you to pay which is a head scratch to me. Using a service like blogger, wordpress or Tumblr can give you a chance to rank in the search engines pretty good and easily since they have high page ranks. Either way you can't beat free.
Easy Content
You can easily stream content with blogs. You don't have to worry about any HTML stuff like you did in the past. With blogs, you can easily just plug and play especially when you use a hosted service like blogger and tumblr. Content is a really big deal on the internet and Google has made that very clear since the Panda changes and other changes to their platform.
Content is still king even though videoing is taking over the internet. Even though this is the case, you still can't get up in the search engines until you get some content around that video. None the less, streaming content on blogs hasn't been this easy for a long time.
Optimizing On Google
The best platform to use when talking about optimizing on Google is blogger. Blogger is owned by Google so you can be sure to get priority when getting optimized on the search engine. Google will always show love to their blogs over the others that's just a fact. However, you still have to use optimizing techniques to make sure that you properly get ranked but when you do perform them, you will show up in the search engines in a heartbeat.
