Posts in Live Feed on APSense and others are a Snap Shot

The live feed of the APSense business network and most other networks is a snapshot. If you post directly in the live feed, it won't do a lot for your online presence. However, all you do on APSense reflects in the live feed and on your profile as well. Your last articles and revpages also show on your APSense widget.

Most internet entrepreneurs are busy bees. I plead guilty myself. I often quickly share a link on APSense live feed and others. Sometimes forgetting that a post in the live feed is just a snap shot. It does not enhance your profile and does now do much for your online presence. Besides that also note that the amount of characters in the live feed is limited. Besides that it will roll off very fast. So not all members will see it. So if you post only directly in the live feed, it does not really do much on long term for your online presence. If you are just pasting links it will do nothing at all.

However is you write a blog post or article about a certain topic it will be listed on your profile page, it will be added to your profile and profile RSS feeds, AND it will show up in the live feed. You can share your article/blog with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn; if you use the same account as on your brand page it will show up in the live feed of your brand page as well. If you want to add it to your ABC you need to add it manual.

When you post as an article, a blog post, or talent You AND other members can share it. The online world is a dynamic world. When you read a lot online it is very likely that you gain new insights or find additional info. You can add that to the original post as a comment or edit the post and re share. As opposed to posting in the live feed only, articles and posts are picked up by search engines fast. Provided you take the trouble of adding keywords tags to them.

Tip: review your articles/rev pages. Some of your older ones may not have tags yet. Or they can be updated with new insights or information.

About groups: these are great to reach people with similar interests. Unfortunately, group posts are only shown to members of that group in the live feed. As the settings in groups currently are in groups the space to post is also very limited. However it is easy enough to write a quick announcement in a group (and in the live feed) that you added a post about "???" in group '???" that will help you if...

If you know a lot about a certain topic, i.e. link building or WordPress widgets you may consider starting your own group. This will help to establish yourself as an expert in a certain niche. By writing a rev page or article about your group, and applying above tip your group will grow. You can also invite members to your group, share the group through social media and APSense and/or share your group on PinOpps.

The power of APSense is that you can build a mini network. Because it is very easy to connect the dots if you use multiple features. If you write an article, it is easy to include a link to a related talent or rev page.

If you have a blog or site outside APSense i.e. on PinOpps Pro on which you promote services, products or simple your expertise in a certain field, you will have much more exposure when you write a article about your site/blog about what your blog is about and than share that article on APSense instead of just  link. I.e. on my blog/site "something" I wrote an article about "something" that will help you to....". I am sure you understand that this will have more impact than a post in the live-feed only.

So change your habits. Use the APSense features at your disposal and I guarantee you will get better results!

Of course it takes time to build your network. Free members can only make a limited number of contacts. Also note that only your contacts see your contributions in the live feed. If you want more people to see them you will need to start credit campaigns. For that reason I recommend upgrading in APSense. You can make more connections, you get more monthly credits and you can earn credits faster if you need more. There are more advantages like your own ads on your pages and creating more than one brand page. You can compare memberships here.
Note that is possible to convert any APSense link in an affiliate link by using the APSense url shortner.

Note: what I wrote in this article applies for many other networks as well. Take the time to find out how the features work and can enforce each other.
