There is a chance that Clickbank coule be around for a long time from now because of their organization and their methods of working with Merchants and Affiliates alike. The only thing about them is the fact that they are not the most popular when it comes to paying out commissions. They have rigorous commission approval processes for newbies and even seasoned Affiliates.

If you are asking if Clickbank is worth your time, that is solely up to you. If you are asking for my personal perspective, I will tell you that I personally have decided to stay away from Clickbank because of all the hoops that you have to go through. I personally don't see how people use this site with all that they put you through in the beginning.

It is much more worth your time to pursue sites like Paydotcom.com and other sites alike to help you make money with Affiliate programs without having to jump through hoops and allow things to go a little more smoothly for yourself.

I'm not saying that Clickbank is a terrible company, but what I am saying is that you have to have a specific purpose for using Clickbank as your main source for finding Affiliate programs to make money with. I like the fact that they are organized and they do respond to issues and their customer service is phenomenal. However, if you are just starting out with this industry and you are trying to just make a buck, then I wouldn't advise that you use Clickbank as your first point of reference. You are better off going to sites like Paydotcom.com or just joining a program like Project Payday that will just pay you per lead as oppose to per sale.
