If you have a business and don't really know how to get your business going with Google, then you have come to the right place. Now in order for you to get your Business on the front page, you obviously need to do two things:

  • Submit your location to Google local
  • Build a website and a blog
These two things will get you started with Google. Now as far as the details, here we go:

Now if you are going to get your business on the first page of Google it is going to take a lot of keyword research, depending on what you are offering. Now if you are a hot stand in Los Angeles, then you might want to consider doing this:

Go to Google, and type in hot dog stands in Los Angeles in "quotation." What you are looking for are the competing sites or the amount of of other sites that have this keyword term in it. Depending on where you are promoting your site, or how you have your keywords structured, you can get on the front page of Google easy if there are only a thousand sites or less. If there are more than ten thousand sites, you might have a little bit of a hard time ranking high in that keyword phrase.

Now you are going to see other marketers tell you that this method is dead and the "bum marketing" method, which is what this is considered, is dead as well. However, what they don't understand is that there was nothing "dead" about the method in the first place. It's something that will be there for as long as Google is around.

You are also going to here people say that the results in Google aren't that accurate, but it's also not about being perfect, it's about leveraging the likelihood of your site showing up in the search engines based on this small research method.

The bottom line here is that all you need to do is just:

  • Understand your market
  • Understand what your online competition is doing by using the quotation method
  • Surround your blog or site around these keywords
  • Set up your online advertising campaigns around these keywords (if you are advertising)
  • Setting up your tags and meta tags around these key terms
  • Rinse and reuse
