Getting your business listed on Google search isn't a difficult thing to do. In fact, it's not as bad as most marketers are promoting it to be. The reason why I say this is because there is an unnecessary amount of people saying that the Panda rules from Google and from many other sources are making things very difficult for you to get your site shown up on Google. The truth is that it's all about content and linking. That's all.

If you are looking to get your business listed with Google by "submitting your link to Google search engines" you are going to be highly disappointed. The fact is that Google isn't going to just place your link at the top of the search engine just because you did that. You are going to have to work a little harder than that.

Now as far as getting listed, I am referring to getting shown on the search engines. If you are a small business, then you will need to have the following:

  • Blogging
  • Website Building
  • Content Streaming
This is three of your best shots to get your site shown up on Google because you are going to have these three elements in the workings in order to help your business become relevant in the online world. Relevance is the name of the game with Google and these three elements will help you get started with that relevance.

Now as far as getting listed is concerned, what we are referring to here is getting ranked in the search engines by keyword. You are going to have to get your site listed in Google based on your keywords and not based on some random act of nature.

If you are promoting a local business, then you will need to be sure that you are promoting your site or blog's  content around the area you are trying to focus on. The only thing that you are going to have to do in order for that to happen is to focus and stream your content on the local keywords that will get your business relevant and pass up the competition in the online world.

Now to recap:

  • Create a site
  • Create a blog
  • Create content on blog and site
  • Create a Facebook page
  • Perform keyword research via google adwords
  • Surround more content around your local area
