Social Media - Time for a Great to Good transition.

Facebook has proved to be an outstanding success, even if the share launch was less than stellar. The latter maybe indicating a question mark over the Facebook (and others) business model.

Maybe Facebook typifies the "cult" of the great and the next generation of Social Media will usher in the beginning of the good.

So understand this its necessary to read the manifesto Great to Good -

Facebook, is great, has earned heaps of money for itself, provides a service, which can be considered exploitive. It does no real good for its members.

Maybe the next major business model is the one being developed by Smart Media, a model that shares the generated income with its members and rewards them for their support and involvement.
