What Do You Think About Googles Privacy Policies?

With Google’s recent move in implementing its new privacy policies and how your data is combined, hence allowing for easier targeting. I note that quiet a few people are pretty upset. But when asked; Why ? The answers do not seem to quantify the reason for all the anger.

Now maybe it’s just me being naive but I really do not see what all the fuss is about. The answers to avoid being targeted by ads seem quite clear, the online data about you in question is already accessible, and why wouldn’t you want an online experience tailored to your interests?

So what are the reason really?

You can argue that the clarity as to what data is actually being shared and the boundaries for the use of this data is slightly vague. There is also the question as to whether the new policies are in breach of European data protection laws.

How do you feel about the whole privacy policy thing, does it bother you in any way ? Can you do without using Google services ?
