The chicken or the egg? The blog or the FanPage?

Which should come first?

• An article or a RevPage at APSense
• A blog post
• A post on your FanPage

I try to do a mix of all, i.e. sometimes, a blog post first then a link to it on my other places, sometimes I write the article first. I guess the FanPage is used to post the link to one of the others.

But, if it's an article you saw from someone else, where do you post about it? Or do you do it at all? Of course, many people will choose to simply share it on FB, Twitter and other popular sites. In my case, I will sometimes repost the article on my blog, and I mention the author's name and I put the link of where the article comes from, if possible. In some cases, it's content from email newsletters, so I will mention the newsletter's name and author.

Other possibilities for posting a link and a short description of it are:

• Appropriate groups ( at APSense, Facebook, etc... )
• Augine, the APSense Land game
• Other business social networks such as IBO, IMfaceplate

Where else do you or would you repost the link?

At the end of the day, it's all about exposure to get more readers and traffic.
