To Multi Task or Not To Multi Task
As I go through my day(night) of business work, I wonder if I am accomplishing all that it is possible for me to get done. I am from the tech generation and that is not always a good thing.
I am the Queen of Multi Tasking. I find myself often with more than 10 tabs open at any given time. I start with my email to see if there are any orders, then I go to eBay to see how the items I have listed are selling. Then it is to my personal email to check if any orders come in from work or other sources. Then I debate what is going to go on from there.
Do I open APSense and see what my friends are doing? How many email's I have, do I have any new followers? Etc, Etc, Etc. Or do I open LinkReferral and do the link swap so that my listings move up on Google so that I can start making really good deals with the store? What about Monopolinks, it has been a good bit of time since I have spent any time with that service, and they have always done me right on Links and other items I needed assistance with.
What about LinkedIn. I have not been on there in so long that it is a wonder they have not kicked me off of it. I have a blog that I started back in January when I first opened my store and I have only written on it maybe 3 times because I do not have the time to do it.
I stress over a lack of time, but how much of that is my own fault because I am going about this all wrong? Is there a game plan that I should be following that I have no idea of?
Should I just open one site at a time, accomplish those goals and then start another one.(But what if I have to backtrack for information, isn't that counter productive?) The circle goes around and around.
And tonight I found myself setting up a new site for a networking site called Chatterpit. My friend Jihno Kim is registered with it and for me to leave a comment on his beautiful work I had to join. (Forget that I could have just came back to APSense and left him a PM on how I liked his work.) That would have been too easy.
Please let me hear from others as to how they manage it all and still keep their sanity. :-)
