Suggestions for tags in articles and RevPages

I think there are 3 things that stand out as the most important among the recent changes at APSense:
  1. interests
  2. business page
  3. tags
I'll get back to no. 1 and 2 in other articles, because their impact is not clear yet, although I am confident it can only bring good things to all involved.

As for the tags, they are useful for branding. That's their main purpose. So, and let me know if you think I'm dead wrong, but choosing the right tags is essential when you're writing an article or RevPage. Why? Because the people who choose a tag to like it, well, the tag gets associated with you. Later on, if we want to see which members are good with, let's say, articles, we will search for that word and get a list of members who got tagged many times for that.

I suggest you think of tags as if you chose tags for a blog post that will help your blog be seen on the search engines.

One thing, though. Do write a tag that is relevant. If, say, you decide to brand yourself as a specialist of the environment, and you put that tag in an article that talks about how to write a greetings card, some members might wonder what's the point.

I hope the tags help us to efficiently find people to associate with at APSense.

Now, let's see, what tags will I choose? :)

Don't hesitate to let me know if you think I could have chosen better tags for this current article. I'm not a SE expert.
