Are You Really Cut Out For A Home Business?
Thats a question only you'll be able to answer, don't allow anyone to ever answer that question for you because to be honest, doubt has a way of creeping into all of our minds. I personally believe that it takes a certain kind of person to put up with the rigors and stress of owning your own business on or offline. I even ask myself that question at times because this is the hardest job I've ever had and I'm harder on myself than any boss could ever be. I will say that knowing what I know now about business that I could never be employee material again in life, there's a saying that whenever your mind gets stretched by a new idea, it can never go back to its original dimensions and that's a true statement in my book.
You'll ask yourself several questions on a daily basis such as, when will my marketing ever take hold? When will I see results for all my hard work? Am I managing my time correctly? Will I be able to duplicate my efforts? Did I make a mistake? Is it time to get out while the getting is good? Again, those will be questions only you can answer, one things for sure is that you'll have to learn how to seperate yourself from the herd, you'll have to be original, people will want to hear your personal take on things not the canned version you copy and paste from your companies website or your affiliate site. That's the lazy way out and I've been there done that and its cookie cutter marketing and it doesn't work.
You'll find that consumers are getting more and more savvy every day and they are on Facebook and Twitter and if they don't see you there they'll wonder why, do you have something to hide? Are you one of those business people that don't believe Facebook and Twitter are revelant? You have to be where the consumer is, you'd better believe they're talking to each other on Social Media and on blogs and if they don't see you there then in their minds you don't respect them enough to bother and thats your most fatal mistake, you need a presence on these Social networks trust me. If you don't know the first thing about a Facebook business fan page or Twitter, if I were you I'd take the time to learn. Learn how to navigate them yourself so you don't have to depend on others to set it up for you.
