When you share an article on FaceBook...
are you making sure the thumbnail you choose is appropriate ?
Most of the time, you will have the choice of the profile picture of the author of the article.
In most cases, that's perfect. That's what should be done, I mean, sharing the article is great, pointing out who wrote it is even better.
If you choose your own picture as the thumbnail, it's not wrong per se, but it's revealing of someone who tries to keep the spotlight on oneself.
Put your pride aside. Do choose the picture of the author. In the long run, it will help all APSense members. People outside will see we support each other. They will also see that "Hey, there are a lot of good things coming from APSense, by a lot of different people!"
Of course, in some cases, I choose another image as the thumbnail. For instance, if the author took the time to upload an image to accompany the article. That is clearly more appropriate, cause it is part of the message the author wants to convey.
In rare cases, I choose to post without a thumbnail. I can't remember any examples, but it does happen. Of course, what seems ok to me might not be ok for you, and that's all right.
I'm wondering... Maybe I'm writing that article for nothing. Let me know of your thoughts on this.
Thank you.
