The percentage of good comments might increase

UPDATE : I just received a comment saying "I will learn from you............................", I declined it, cause to me, putting lots of dots is a form of abuse, it's a lazy way to try and get attention, I don't care what is written before the dots

A few days ago, there was a discussion about the fact that campaigns with comments got many useless or, even worse, abuse or spam comments.

Well, I guess Wincer made the right move with recent changes to campaigns at APSense.

In the past few days, I have seen comments from known spammers and abusers on my campaigns, I approved their comments, they were either informative or at least ok.

As some of you know, many times I write comments addressing spammers and abusers saying I know their tricks and I report their abuses. These commentsI write in articles. Many times I suggest to the article author the following :

  1. Click on the "report abuse" link
  2. Wait 24 hours
  3. Delete the unwanted comments
  4. Delete my comment where all I said was about the abusers
Parts 1 to 3 are the recipe recommended by Cheryl.

Part 4 is my way of saying "Don't keep irrelevant comments, it's much more enjoyable to keep an article ( or RevPage ) clean of trash comments".

The members who see the article and the comments after the clean up get a much better experence. Many times, there are interesting discussions and different point of views, all told with full respect. We can all learn from that and improve the way we do business here and elsewhere.
