Beware of false prophets

I'm sure you have heard this saying before as it applies to religion. But have you ever thought about applying it to your internet business?

The reason I am writing this article today is because of the many con men online that can talk up a storm and actually sound like they know what they are doing but in fact know absolutely nothing. These are the ones I call false prophets.

Since anyone can create an ebook and put it up for sale on Clickbank, many do. Most of the ebooks, not all I said most, are junk. Often these false prophets will actually copy the things others have written, reword them a little and sell them to the un informed.

The first thing I do when I find someone that is selling an ebook it check the statistics of there website. Surely if they are selling an instructional book on Clickbank they must be knowledgeable right? Checking statisics is really easy. In fact you have all the tools you need right here in the APSense SEO tools to check out any false prophet.

First thing to consider when you are about to impulsively send some of your hard earned cash, is the information in the ebook so valuable that you can not do without it? Second thing to consider before you part with your hard earned money is can you find the information in the ebook for free online. These days almost everything you want to learn can be found online. Every website has a search box, just like APSense does. Just type in the question you need help with and the answer will magically appear.
After you have answered those two questions just before you part with your cash, do one more thing. Either go to google and find a page rank tool or use the one provided here on APSense. All you have to do is type the url of the website for the false prophet and instantly you will see the truth. If the false prophet is actually knowledgeable their website will have a rank. For example using the SEO tool here on APSense you will notice that APSense has a page rank of 4, if you performed the same check for my site you will notice that it has a page rank of 3. If you check a website and it has a rank of n/a run for the hills. Even a zero is better than n/a.

One thing many people confuse on social sites like APSense is that popularity does not equate knowledge. Even on Facebook, getting likes does not mean you have knowledgeable.

The true test comes from tenacity, endurance and actual skill. Can can you buy an information product from a person that does not know what they are doing? If that person does not even know how to upload files to his website via FTP, which by the way means File Transfer Protocol, or how to write basic html, again which means Hyper Text Markup Language, how can he teach you to operate a business online?

Do not be fooled. Before anyone attacks me about my own ebook. In addition to the step by step guidance you are getting, I am also providing the code and the templates I created with my own hands as part of the content. So yes, while I am in no way a guru nor do I profess to be. I do know a little something, something.

If you are wondering what ebook I am referring to, it is Fanpage Money: The Money Is In Your Fanpage

I welcome all thought and comments...
