Here, I will talk about what I consider essential qualities to be a business person.

  • Long term vision
  • Acknowledge failures and move on
  • Biz plan essential, so are biz relationships
  • Think out of the box  : unwritten rules can be broken ( not laws, of course, I talk about "don't do this, nobody has ever tried it"
  • Learn to trust your instincts
  • Testing, tweaking
  • Patience
  • Course correction
  • Never, ever take things personally, otherwise, you'll spend time and energy unwisely
  • Take the time to do things right, serious people will appreciate it
  • You don't get enough attention ? It will come
  • Forget get rich quick schemes
  • Find your own style : leader, team member, partner or consultant
  • Find the right balance between work and life : TV is NOT important, it's the first sacrifice you should consider
  • Do what you love, the money will follow, when you least expect it
  • Keep your energy level high : sleep, food, exercise, fun moments are essential
