Yep.

Another chapter in the war against spammers.

Following my "I pursue spammers" blog, here's another idea to fight them.

I will show actual examples of spam posts I have seen today, from members who have used these posts regularly in the past few days or weeks. Yes, I said weeks. Maybe months.

You must be saying right now "Won't he get tired of pursuing us ?"

Nope.

Not until you stop.

You get creative, I get down to earth.

Here, I won't bother explaining, I will show the spam or abuses I saw :
  • You can definetly try my website *** link hidden ***

I update the blog every time I see someone spamming or abusing. Here's what I saw this morning, Nov. 23, 2010, on 2 blogs or RevPages that had nothing to with article writing, the comment was posted by the same user :

  1. Now some people may stay away from article writing, because they think they are not knowledgeable enough to write articles

BTW, there was someone spamming clearly, putting links or advertisements. I changed my status to name him.

A practice I hadn't seen yet, putting famous quotes as comments. Guys, this is plagiarism. Don't be so lazy... Here are some I saw today :

  1. "You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."-- Zig Ziglar
  2. "To grow, you must be willing to let your present and future be totally unlike your past. Your history is not your destiny." Alan Cohen

Fresh new examples I saw recently.

  • This Seems Really Kool You Check Out My Game Site At *** link hidden ***
  • Thank you, good and usefull information
That last example, the person didn't bother to write it correctly, so it's even more obvious it's a copy and past job.

This comment from a member, I've seen it on different blogs :
  1. Thanks, interesting site, linen is not to lose
Other examples :
  1. Niagara Falls Pass 5% Off ! *** link hidden ***
  2. I am member of microjob.co I got a 1st Check In Microjob.co .

    Dollar 15.06Cent Just In a 15DaYS
  3. business is fantastic, we just initiated the $1-Million-Dollar-Giveaway at LinkMommy dot com

These 2 look fishy :
  1. Beautiful Blogs.. nice presentations !!!!!
  2. harap anda sudi lawati laman saya...

This one, the person didn't read the blog at all, it was about steps to build  business :

  1. I live in Serbia, I can not buy it
    Sorry, do not sign up
The same guy who posted this :
  • excellent well done all great compliments
He was doing it again today. I sent him a PM, telling him to be careful, that I'm aware of his practice. Surprise surprise, he blocked me. As if I cared. DOes he think I'm trying to build a relationship with him ?

He posted an ok comment on a RevPage, then posted this :
  • purtroppo non posso dare giudizi percchè non capisco cosa cè scritto
I posted a comment after this telling him it's against ApSense TOS to post not in English.

Ok, here are the examples of spam posts I've seen, and reported, with the "report abuse" link. See my video on how to use the "report abuse" link.

Without further ado, see if you recognize any.

The first examples are copy and paste. The person probably keeps a notepad window opened on the PC, and copies the same post on many blogs.

  1. excellent well done all great compliments
  2. A Proposito Di Clemente: Ciao, Mi Chiamo Clemente, vivo UNA Splendida citt? del Piemonte, SONO Sposato con MARIA CUI , Oltre al Fatto di avermi regalato Tre Figli Splendide
BTW, the 2nd example breaks 2 rules, the 2nd being about the ApSense TOS and foreign languages. More on that later.

Another category, the copying of content from the blog or RevPage, in the case here a RevPage :

  1. * Great residual income for life!
    * Its easy to set up
    * Win-Win situation
    * Use Click2Sell Affiliate Program Tracking and reporting system
    * Simoly the best

The advertising spam comment, with a link :

  1. Thanks for the heads up I will be mindful of these things I have a site I would like you to checkout for me,Please you can call me with your advices *** link hidden *** God Bless
  2. Stop to lose your time Contact me to Skype i now how do you want earn realy money to best program in the world Skype name
Another example of advertising spam comments, there's a guy here, his username begins with genius and the end of the username is a synonym of cash. He always posts links in his comments. He's done his spam comments for as long as I've been active here, i.e. 6 weeks. I guess he had started long before that. I report him all the time.

The next one, I haven't reported. Maybe I should have, it's against ApSense TOS, because no non-English content allowed, with the exception of groups for foreign languages.

  • saya suka laman anda,ia mudah difahami dan program yang menarik
If I see that comment again, I will report it.

Someone might say : "What about if you report the same comment twice, on the same blog ?" I did that, by mistake. You know what ? I got the message "You've already reported this user". The ApSense site is smart. :) So, no way for me to feel guilty, I can't report a spam post twice in the same blog.

The funniest thing happened to me a few weeks ago. A member to whom I had sent a contact request, sent me a PM with a link, unsolicited. I responded to please not do it again. She responded : "What is this place, can't we do like FaceBook ?" and other angry statements. I tried to respond, but she had blocked me. I saw her in the activity area today, I checked, I'm still blocked. Oh no, I can't do business with her, what a pity. Guess what ? I'm not interested.

Another example : I sent a PM to a member, mentioning he was using the copy and paste technique. He didn't respond. He has stopped spamming, though. I received an email from a TE mailer today, it came from him. I deleted it without a 2nd thought.
