If you are sending 5 or 6 people to your web page daily, you are probably not going to experience very much success with your online business.

They system that you choose for your online marketing efforts should provide you with ad tracking, which is a way to keep track of where your traffic is coming from and how often. A good ad tracker will tell you if a hit is unique, what browser they are using, where they came from etc. It is a very important part of online marketing and should be a part of every online marketing system. Trying to promote online without using an ad tracker is kind of like trying to play tennis blindfolded.

The marketing system you choose should be 100% duplicatible. You shouldn’t have to rely on tools outside the system to satisfy your basic advertising needs. A good online marketing system will provide all your basic tools and will give you the ability to generate visitors to your website. Duplicating the system is the true key to success, and you should focus on doing just that every single day you are promoting.

The biggest mistake an online marketer can have is not having a system to apply. By doing things yourself you have to learn what works and what doesn’t work on your own. This is what leads to the 95% failure rate in business, whether its home based business or traditional. By having a system you really ease the learning curve and can immediately apply what has been proven to work in this industry.

So in closing, the biggest things that a marketing system should have are multiple traffic sources, ad tracking, and marketing tools. If its shy on any of these things, its probably a good idea to seek out a different marketing system to apply to your home based business. There are many of them out there, and finding the right one is just a question of research, and putting the time in to find it. But the dividends it can pay to your online marketing efforts over the long run can be substantial.
