How?

I was with Dm as an executive....(right now I am free after finding all of the REALLY free sites)
My question is...if there are so many free sites such as apsense out here...how can DM executives still make their buck..or bucks? What really sets them out from the rest. They have a really great thing going with their site..and I saw the opportunity..until I found out about the rest? I have WAY more than gotten back my $29.95 a month with them....because they helped my business tremendously...just not as much as APSense has? And I haven't paid a penny?
