When NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet concludes a fortnight of parliamentary scrutiny into his government, questions will be fired on rail worker strikes, teacher shortages, and John Barilaro's controversial appointment to a New York office. As he attempts to resolve disputes with teachers, nurses, and rail workers, Mr. Perrottet will be accompanied by his top bureaucrat on Wednesday. It is predicted that three out of five nurses will leave the profession within the next five years, due to the need for patient-to-nurse mandates. Ticket gates at train stations have been fully activated again after Mr. Perrottet's tough talk led to an end to industrial action by the rail union. Pay and conditions are still at odds, with the Fair Work Commission now involved in the conflict.
