Having an up-to-date MOT Basingstoke certificate is a legal requirement for most vehicles over 3 years old in the UK. Without a valid MOT, you cannot tax or insure your vehicle to drive it on public roads. Getting stopped by police while driving without a current MOT can result in a fine of up to £1000!
