You earn both ways Anuj.
Lets say you join as a free member.
You then sponsor your friend John and you earn $1
You then sponsor Jill and Jill decides to upgrade
as well....You earn $1 plus $78.80 commissions
if they take the full upgrade.
All this as a free member.

They have done this to help boost the membership.
They pay out commissions through paypal every 2 weeks.

I'm not really sure Anuj. They could stop it any time but it is
still going now to the best of my knoledge.
Even if they stop the $1 promotion it is still a good site to
join for the tools they have in the members area.
Also a lot of people upgrade so they can mail to a random 3,000 members
every 3 days. This is NOT a safelist. You will only get a few e-mails from upline
a day.
Free members earn commissions if you sponsor a person and they upgrade.

The concept is not new Yuki but Frank ( The Owner ) has done a good job with the website.
There are 4,000+ member in this in only about a week and there are some big names
in this site.
So if you upgraded you can mail to 3,000 random members every 3 days

The $1 per referral promotion is good until they reach 6,000 members or so
I believe.
