You can directly cut, copy, paste or change the volume, with no need to convert files to wav or any other audio format. This saves time and also a quality, because nothing will converted or re-encoded. Some features of mp3DirectCut are: non-destructive cut, copy and paste, volume change, fade, normalize, pause, fast mp3 visualisation and easy navigation, ID3v1.1 tag editor, auto cue, high speed recorder, supports Layer2 (dvd/dvb audio), possibility of command line usage.  Conclusion: Very fast and very small additional audio tool.
