Disappointing Black Friday sales turns S&P 500 futures lower
Retailers struggled to entice shoppers with their Black Friday offerings. Spending dropped by an estimated 11% over the weekend. Consumer spending fell to $50.9 billion from $57.4 billion in 2013 and made this the second Black Friday in the row that saw the sales figures tumbling.
