Summer schools are not new, but using SMS messaging to improve the effectiveness of the classes is. Now they are being used to allow students to sign up for alerts and reminders for all sorts of things even for dinner! All of this it seems makes it better for students to know what is going on and never be confused or to feel left out or alone. It seems from what I have seen it looks like a really great idea!
