Good news for approximately 6 crore Indians! For FY 2018-19, Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has recommended the interest rate of 8.65% on Employees' Provident Fund (EPF) deposits. This is just 10 basis points (bps) higher than what it recommended in the previous year. What a pleasant surprise for EPFO subscribers. This was unexpected, as the EPFO was expected to retain the interest rate of 8.55% for FY 2018-19.
