Car servicing and MOT: Are both required?
MOT is the abbreviation of the Ministry of Transportation. It is a legal test that is taken forward by the government department. All those vehicles that have completed three years are required to take their vehicle to the authorised test centre for the test.
The primary role of this test is to keep a check on the vehicle to see if it meets road safety and environmental standards. A variety of car parts are checked, such as brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, windscreen wipers and many more. All interior and exterior components are examined with the utmost accuracy and precision, except the gearbox, engine and clutch.
