HS Classification – Chapter Head 01 to 98

The Harmonized System (HS) is a system of names and numbers to classify trade products. The HS is organized into 21 sections and 98 chapters; first, the system assigns products to sections, and then proceeds to assign these products to their specific chapter, heading, and subheading. HS classification is the process of assigning numerical HS codes to products. In India, mostly used 8 digits HS code to specify a product. These HS code distributed under 4 digits headings and headings are under chapters (01 to 98).
