Unlike static sites search engines will always pay more attention to web sites with blogs that are constantly updated and will send out the spiders to crawl and index new pages whereas sites that have not been updated will not get the attention they want. Also RSS feeds are a great way to boost user awareness and provide valuable backlinks to your site.
