The Samurai was a nickname bestowed upon to members of a caste in ancient Japan with one of the biggest military powers. According to the history of the Samurai, this caste system has a greater meaning on the roots of renowned Japanese karate. Long before the Samurai rose into ultimate power in the 12th century, they operated as mercenary fighters. People of the group of Samurai are forced to live by the normal operating procedure of honor and discipline called Bushido (the way of the fighter). Previously in the Heian Era, the Samurai usually functioned as “protectors” of noble overlords. The Samurai introduced the original military leaders in Japan, where they served the daimyos (lords), and employed the shogun.
