What is the best way to promote your products and services ? I am curious to know what people think about having control of their own web sites i.e. complete with opt-in forms, sales pages etc, as opposed to simply just sharing links and messages on social networks, emailing systems, traffic exchanges etc. Do you really need to have your own website from where you can make sales, gain subscribers, tailor and brand specifically for your business ? Or, is it that most individulals without control of their own website(s) is an outcome due to: 1. Choice, or 2. Website building and management seems far too complicated and involved and beyond their reach ? What methods of promoting do you find most effective?
