Asked by Amit M., in Automotive
As everyone knows that tomorrow Ford announced to shutting down all ford's operations in India. Now what will happen with existing customers of Ford cars? Will all the customers get the service or it will available only in metro cities?

Nothing will happen they will get the service as usual because its a revenue generating thing for dealers and most parts are made by OEMs locally in India so it will be fine. After 2–3 years probably the number of dealerships will reduce and will remain in major cities only. That's the impact Ford owners might face after 2–3 years down the line. They have to go far to service their cars. In automobile industry service and parts is a major revenue source hence dealers and company will remain in it. Otherwise also Ford is not quitting Indian market completely its just a restructuring and they will continue to sell high end models as CBU thru the limited dealerships in major cities. Also they will honor warranty of all cars sold till the last day as per law of land. People have made too much hype about this unnecessary.
