I'm going to be completely honest and tell you something you don't want to hear, YOU CANNOT STOP IDENTITY THEFT! Many products on the market make this claim-as a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist I know it is impossible so I am going to be honest with you. You don't have control of the information that puts you at risk. The average American's information is listed in approximately 50 different databases so even if you are careful with your information, they may not be.

You probably don't have a clue what Identity theft really is either. It's not about your credit and your bank accounts! There are 6 different types of identity theft but most of us are only familiar with our financial identity. There's also your Social Security identity, your Driver's License identity, your Character/Criminal identity and your medical identity and credit monitoring won't do a thing to help you in those other areas. Credit monitoring won't reveal problems in those areas either. Add in Synthetic or Hybrid identity theft(Taking a piece of several identities to create a new person on paper) and the problem becomes even bigger.

You may be able to fix your credit, but what if it's not your credit that is stolen? Several of the other areas are going to take legal counsel to fix. Credit monitoring won't help with a warrant falsely generated in your name, so what do you do? Where do you turn? How about a product that not only provides you with licensed investigators that can not only help you fix your credit, but discover possible identity theft in other areas.
