Review on Ventrino Traffic Exchange Script

I bought my TE a while back at a time when Brian Jones was not yet the owner. I liked all the features and possibilities but was confused about the configuration. I was unsure about the consequences of my settings for traffic delivery.

So much has changed for the better since Brian took over! The management section of my ventrino TE surf-bar-traffic is now stuffed with good info about that. Why you should (or better not in some cases) the options, what you need to consider when configuring them, advice on many settings like ratios, member rewards, cash or no cash and much more. Many tool tips have calculation examples to explain why an advice is given.

I can honestly say that reading all these tool tips helped me to become a better TE admin. If I have a problem i can go to the forum or the support Skype group where there are many people willing to help you.

Yes, if you just buy the script you get the default lay-out that is very plain. You can edit the lay-out but that is not something everybody can do. Prebuilt exchanges have a full nice template design, it is installed for you and you get 3 months of pro hosting. There are added new prebuilt sites on a regular basis. Its best value for the average TE buyer unless he/she is skilled in graphic design and php. Their hosting is the best you can have for a TE. TEs have different hosting needs than other type of sites.

No, not at starters. very large exchanges my need that a some point. Many cheap hosting services have limitations for sending out mail. I have heard many stories of TE owners that had things not working, exceeding band with very fast etc. I can't explain all the techie details. All I know is that a lot of issues on my own TE solved itself after switching to ventrino hosting

Just a quick add on here... Hosting a TE is quite CPU intensive and a low cost host simply don't like them so hosting on a $2 per month shared hosting will not be sufficient

and as for difference between pre-built and do it your self is cost and time (we get a discount as we bulk buy design etc) so in the end it will be cheaper buying a pre-built BUT you are stuck with the NEW design and some people what something specific

Brian, you said $2 hosting, but with serious hosting companies like HostGator, it would be ok at the start? Until you get a lot of members, I suppose
