Review on The Picture of Dorian Gray

When the first time I read this book, I was attracted by the word, quote:"We are punished for our refusals. Every impulse that we strive to strangle broods in the mind, and poisons us. The body sins once, and has done with its sin, for action is a mode of purification. . . . Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful. It has been said that the great events of the world take place in the brain. It is in the brain, and the brain only, that the great sins of the world take place also." and there are many other wonderful sentences, and the philosophy of the author's attitude is also attractive, I don't think I have fully understood the beauty of this book, may be you can explore it by your self.

I like this story. I first heard about it, in all places, a movie called "The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen". I'm sure the book is much better. I may actually read it soon. Thanks.
