 ConsultantThe roots of the word 'spirituality' are in the latin word 'spiritus' which means 'spirit' or 'spiro' which means 'I breathe/respire'. the ideological context dependent, but always refer to an immaterial, non-sensual reality. The German Arndt Bssing describes it as follows: Spirituality and religiousness are multidimensional constructs that connect a variety of shades of meaning, even though the terms are often used interchangeably, yet they are not identical. Despite many overlapping points one can from a conceptual point of view considered - differentiate the spirituality of religion from spirituality as opposed to religion. Religion is primarily a world view/ideology where a common religious tradition (whose content does not necessarily be verifiable) is prominent, which is by certain authorized persons in terms of a comprehensive doctrine preserved and transmitted to the collectively practicing believers, whereas spirituality (as well as the proper basis of a religion) is based on an individual experience that over time has lost its individual experience nature and is ritualized in a traditionally established experience for active members of the community.
